I cannot contain my excitement and have so much amazing news to share with you! Earlier this year the leading hen party planners, GoHen, announced me as one of the Top 50 Wedding Make-up Artists of 2020 and I’ve just found out that they’ve now created a new list: the Bridal Hero’s of 2020 – and I made it on there!!!
This year has been so difficult for anyone planning a wedding and I truly feel for the couples who’ve had to make drastic changes to their wedding due to this pandemic. Some of my brides had been booked in with me for over 18 months and having been in contact with them for over a year discussing plans, looks and outfit styles (because you know it’s more than just make-up with me!) and then to having that all put on hold with no indication as to when things can finally go ahead, has been disheartening to say the least.
So I’ve done my absolute best to be as accommodating and supportive as I can be and it was not to make it onto any Bridal Hero list but it’s because I have such a genuine connection with each of my brides and want the very best for them. I even decided that they all needed and deserved a treat this year and sent each of them a special care package to help them get through this pandemic!
I know each of my brides appreciated the support I’ve given them, as well as the care packages I sent but to then be recognised as a Bridal Hero from such a renowned bridal blog is just the icing on the cake! So for any bride-to-be reading this if you want a Bridal Hero Make-up Artist to make you up on your special day know who to call!!
So that was just one part of the fantastic news I had to share and if you follow my Instagram you would already know the next part of my exciting news… I have had a huge rebrand including a brand new logo but what’s new to everyone, including my IG followers, is that I have a new website (still being updated but almost there!) and a newly refurbished studio.. so yes, a lot has been going on over the last couple months!
One good thing that’s come out of this second lockdown is that it gave me so much time to pay attention to parts of my brand that I never had the chance to focus on before because I was constantly running around between brides and photoshoots! My studio has been completely decluttered and I had the amazing Artlectic décor help revamp my studio. Here’s a little sneak peek of what the new studio looks like, but stay tuned on my Instagram as I’ll shortly be posting a short video of the whole refurbing process.
And speaking of my newly refurbished studio…my doors are now open for bridal trials so make sure you get in touch (before a potential third lockdown!) and come down and enjoy a glass of prosecco whilst you get glammed up!
