Real Bride Neelam: A Tarun Tahiliani Dream

Back in April 2019, the absolutely beautiful Neelam booked me for her bridal make-up and she was a dream to work with. Having chosen some of the best suppliers this industry has to offer (full supplier list below), she reminded me of myself… a perfectionist who strives for the best and is super organised!

Continue reading to see exactly why she was a dream bride and for a post-wedding Q&A with Neelam which will give any bride-to-be some key insights and valuable information.

Each of my brides are given an exclusive Bridal Advice Booklet full of tips and tricks to help ensure the big day goes smoothly and includes advice such as:

  • what to keep in your wedding bag
  • skincare tips
  • what you should be doing during the wedding week and much much more.

One of the reasons I call Neelam a dream bride is because she read the whole booklet and took every piece of advice I had offered, which in turn made her wedding experience stress-free and seamless.

When I arrived at her house on that warm Spring morning, I remember how impressed and excited I felt when I entered her bedroom and saw how organised it was.

She had her Tarun Tahiliani outfit steamed on a hanger with all bridal tags removed, her personalised Louis Vuitton perfume sitting on her dresser and her Dolce & Gabbana bag packed and ready to go with all the bridal essentials that I advise every bride to include.

I asked Neelam ‘You read the whole Bridal Advice Booklet didn’t you?’ She smiled, laughed a little, and replied ‘Yes’. I knew then that we were going to have such a fun, relaxed and calm make-up session.

Needless to say, everything went perfectly and on time. You truly get a sense of how tranquil the whole experience was when you see the pictures.

My new PA, Sonia recently caught up Neelam for a quick Q&A.

Sonia: What made you book Ganga? What drew you to her work and made her stand out?

Neelam: Ganga’s approach to enhancing a bride’s features using make-up rather than masking them was a stand-out quality that you don’t see on most Indian brides these days. That, and her attention to cleanliness and hygiene made me, someone with skin sensitivities, feel very comfortable booking her for my big day.

S: How did you hear about Ganga?

N: My husband! I had a few trials before Ganga and each left me looking unrecognisable, so I called on my husband to find me the perfect MUA – and omg he totally delivered!

S: How was your overall experience with Ganga?

N: It’s one of my most memorable moments about my wedding (apart from actually getting married) I was most worried about my make-up in the run up to the wedding, but once I had met Ganga I felt like I was in safe hands. She made me feel so relaxed and ready for the day.

S: As one of Ganga’s brides you had the exclusive airbrush make-up service. What was your experience with it and most importantly did the airbrush make-up live up to it’s name and last all day?

N: It felt so light on my skin, and on one of the hottest days of the year it didn’t budge. Even at the end of the day (after all the crying) it looked perfect – she wasn’t lying when she said it’s completely waterproof!

S: Would you recommend Ganga to other brides?

N: I would totally recommend her to any other brides. Whether you want a glam or natural look, Ganga has the skills to achieve it. I’ve never met anyone who is more prepared for the job!

It’s honestly been such a pleasure to look through Neelam’s images and reflect on what a wonderful day this was. I am so grateful for Neelam’s husband for coming across my website and Instagram. Let’s hear it for the grooms who are being proactive and getting involved in all aspects of wedding planning.

If you’re a bride-to-be, or even a groom trying help his fiancée look for a bridal makeup expert, then get in contact today. I only take a handful of brides in a year to ensure I can offer the best bespoke service for my clients so spaces are limited. As I work on a first come first serve basis, I advise getting in touch sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment.

As always, thank you for reading!

Keep safe, wash your hands, wear your mask and stay home wherever possible!
